NC State Gymnastics Head Coach
In 2021, Landrus led the Wolfpack to its highest national finish in 21 years with a final ranking of 15th in the country. Highlights included its first-ever NCAA Regional final appearance, along with being crowned the 2021 Regular Season Conference Champions!
In addition to the historic season, the two-time EAGL Conference Head Coach of the Year (2019 & 2020) guided the Pack to earn 11 All EAGL conference honors in 2021. Nine of the 11 honors were first-team All-EAGL accolades, which tied the most in the league.
Additionally, the Wolfpack also continued to thrive academically under Landrus as 18 gymnasts were named to the All-EAGL Scholastic Team.
NC State Assistant Coach
In his fourth year as an assistant coach, Ogletree is the primary vault and floor coach for the Wolfpack. In 2021, he had an NCAA National floor qualifier, a first for NC State since 2015 and was an integral part of leading the team to a final ranking of 15th in the country.
Since his arrival at NC State, the two-time EAGL Conference Assistant Coach of the Year has coached several All-EAGL honorees on both vault and floor, along with event champions in both events.
Ogletree has a wealth of coaching experience as he spent five seasons on the staff at the University of Georgia and was an assistant coach at LSU from 2001-12. Career highlights include: Three-time Southeast Region Assistant Coach of the Year and 15 trips to NCAA Nationals as a team, along with five Super Six appearances.
NC State Assistant Coach
Bob Starkell concluded his tenth season as an assistant coach for NC State Gymnastics, focusing primarily on the uneven parallel bars. In 2021, he led the bar squad to a top 25 end-of-year national ranking and was a vital part of the team earning a final national ranking of 15th. Additionally, Starkell guided the bar squad to three of the top ten bar scores in school history in 2021.
In 2020, Starkell’s success was honored as he was named the EAGL Assistant Coach of the Year with fellow assistant coach Phil Ogletree for the second consecutive year.
Additionally, career highlights include: 2009 National Coach of the Year, 2010 Big Ten Coach of the Year, and 2016 EAGL Assistant Coach of the Year.
Kim Landrus Wolfpack Gymnastics camps are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, and/or gender).
This camp is neither supported, controlled, nor supervised by North Carolina State University but rather is under the sole supervision, control and sponsorship of the camp director, Kim Landrus.
